Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Photo is a Swarovski Christmas Tree taken by me for my Christmas card.
Lit by a single flash from the back through a softbox. Background is a small foam packing material with a red and green cardboard on right and left.

Red Moon Rising
A red moon is seen over Sydney town tonight during the total lunar eclipse. It started just a little before 7pm with the bottom half (as seen from where I am) of the moon moving into the Earth's shadow.
Over the next hour or so, more of the moon starts to disappear and slowly turns reddish.
Until only a sliver of silvery white is left before it is completely within the Earth's shadow.

Here's another shot of it during the total eclipse of the moon.

More Japanese Ramen Ads
Finally got a copy of Jenta, a Japanese information magazine/newpaper, and saw the Japanese version of Ramen Tei's advert. Again the photo looks a little dark. Must remember to make embedded photos a little brighter is the future.

Sydney's Harbour Bridge by Night
Sydney's Harbour Bridge is one of the most photographed landmarks in Sydney. It had recently celebrated it's 75th Birthday at the beginning of this year.
This clip below was done earlier this year from a 'few' photos to create a timelapse clip. Each photo was a 2 second exposure and forms 3 frames in the clip.
With 24 frames per second, 45 second clip.. do the maths.. It's a lot of shots. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it :)

Just got a copy of the Chinese Herald and saw that the new retouched advert. Looking much better this time around, a lot brighter and you can actually see what's on the photo properly.

Japanese Ramen
This shot took 3 hours of work to get. It is one of a few final ones that I liked.
This was taken for Ramen Tei to be used in a few ads they are doing to promote the shop.
Didn't realise that taking photos of food could be that hard, being the first time doing this, with placement of the meat and stuff on the noodles taking up most of the time and then rearranging them and reshot because it just didn't look quite right.
Had some help with the lighting on this one from my sisters, holding up strobes etc to get the right light placement, I think I should use some stands next time. The arrangement of the ramen was done by my wife... thanks guys!!

Welcome to Warped Lens
Welcome to my rants...
Whether you happen to stumble across this page by accident or on purpose.. hope you enjoy the stay.
I mainly started this blog to comment on photos that I've taken and things that I've seen, heard or think that is interesting and hopefully.. keep up to date more often than my previous attempts to update a full blown web page!
So, enjoy your stay and feel free to leave comments :)
